What is liga promerica?

Liga Promerica is a professional football league based in Costa Rica. It was founded in 1921 and is currently the top tier of the Costa Rican football pyramid. The league consists of 12 teams and plays a double round-robin format, with each team playing 22 games. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned champion. The league is known for its high level of competitiveness and produces some of the best players in Central America. Many of the league's top teams have also enjoyed success at the regional and international level, with several winning CONCACAF club competitions such as the Champions League and the CONCACAF Cup.
